BMA Group becomes the 2nd sponsor of the 4LTrophy project. The 4L Trophy is an orientation rally and a team of more than 1,200 Renault 4Ls who venture into the Moroccan desert to the dunes of the Sahara.
This race has various objectives including humanitarian action allowing access to education for all children in the region.
The long-awaited start of Ligier European Series for 2021 took place in Barcelona, on the 16th and 17th April. Mathieu Martins performed magically at the controls of the #24 Orhés Racing JS2 R, sponsored by BMA Group.
In 2021, Ligier European Series is divided into six “Heats”, across the best circuits in Europe. Heat 1 of the season took place in Barcelona, on the 16th and 17th April, where Mathieu Martins presented himself driving the #24 Orhés Racing JS2 R, sponsored by BMA Group.
Overall, the #24 Orhés Racing JS2 R had a very positive and encouraging performance, conquering a double podium: 3rd place on the first race and 2nd place on the second one.
With a fierce “never give up” spirit, Mathieu Martins is already preparing for Heat 2 in Austria – Red Bull Ring Racetrack. Following that, next rounds will take place in Le Castellet, Monza and Spa-Francorchamps, finishing the championship in Portimão on the 22nd and 23rd October.

BMA Group confirms return to Ligier European Series for 2021!
Following a very successful maiden season, BMA Group once more decided to sponsor Mathieu Martins who will return to the Ligier European Series for 2021. At the controls of the Orhès Racing Ligier JS2 R, Mathieu set this year target on winning the title in the JS2 R category.
In 2020, Mathieu Martins was one of the first drivers to join the Filière Endurance created by Jean-Bernard Bouvet, with the main goal of becoming a professional race car driver. He then moved on to the Ligier European Series in the #86 M Racing Ligier JS2 R, sponsored by BMA Group, and his performance was immediately a success. In Heat 2 of the season, at the very demanding Spa-Francorchamps track, he won one of the two poles and finished second in the first race before conquering his first win on the second race. In Heat 4 at Monza, he took his second victory of the season and repeated this amazing performance at the final meeting in Portimão. Overall, he finished third in the Ligier JS2 R category, with four pole positions, three victories and two second places, which made BMA Group extremely happy and proud with the result!

For 2021, Mathieu Martins returns to the Ligier European Series with the JS2 R title as his one and only goal. So, after a first year of learning, my objective is clear: continue to learn my job and go for the victory in the championship in the Ligier JS2 R category. I’m really very happy to be back at Orhès Racing. They taught me the basics of driving. I know everyone in the team, it’s like my second family. Ligier Automotive & the European Le Mans Series launched in 2020 the Ligier European Series, a brand-new single-make series dedicated to its latest cars, the Ligier JS P4, a sports prototype with a futuristic look and the Ligier JS2 R, a small GT designed exclusively for racing.
The Ligier European Series will took place over five rounds during the European Le Mans Series events. Le Castellet, Spa Heat, Monza and Portimão were the 2020 Heats .
Each event was made of 90-minute free practice, 2 x 15-minute qualifying session and 2 x 1-hour race. Four hours of driving spread over two days, Fridays and Saturdays. A maximum of racing experience for a maximum of pleasure.
BMA Group sponsored this 2020 year the one M RACING Car – number 86 and what a hell of a position! Mathieu Martins and M Racing finished third in the championship. This was a very positive season result, specially keeping in mind that BMA Group sponsored car win the 1st position in 3 Races and the 2nd position in 2! So BMA Group was very happy with the sport result!
Several innovations were announced for 2021 at the final round of the season at Portimão and BMA is still evaluating its support at this category drivers.
